Benton & Bryant, Ark. - Central Arkansas Development Council's Benton and Bryant Senior Centers have received designation from the Arkansas Department of Human Services/Division of Aging and Adult Services as an Arkansas Senior Wellness and Activity Center.
The centers have incorporated seven elements of wellness into their regularly scheduled programs and activities, including physical wellness, intellectual wellness, social wellness, environmental wellness, vocational wellness, spiritual wellness and emotional wellness.
Central Arkansas Development Council announces that the CADC Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Assistance Program is scheduled to begin the week of January 9, 2017. CADC is the Community Action Agency in Lonoke, Pulaski, Saline, Hot Spring, Clark, Pike, Montgomery, Columbia, Union, Ouachita, Dallas and Calhoun counties in Arkansas. This utility assistance is a one time payment for a REGULAR heating bill and applications will be accepted as long as funds are available.

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program focusing on increasing the school readiness of children ages 3 and 4 years of age. The program also seeks to help parents and caregivers be empowered to self-sufficiency.
The Community Assessment Survey collects information from individuals, families, volunteers, partners and many more about the current strengths, concerns and conditions of CADC's service area. This includes Saline, Clark, Pike, Montgomery, Dallas, Ouachita, Columbia, Calhoun, Union, Pulaski and Lonoke Counties.

SCAT offers a wide range of low-cost transportation services to the general public.
