Benton, Ark  - Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA Commodities April 18 & 19 in Clark, Hot Spring, Columbia and Union Counties.

Clark County’s distributions will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and Noon to 3 p.m. at the CADC Gurdon Senior Activity Center at 410 E. Main St. In Gurdon, call 870-353-2095.The distribution will also take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the CADC Arkadelphia Senior Activity Center at 1305 N. 10^th St. (Hwy 67 North). Hot Spring County’s distribution will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. and Noon to 3 p.m. at the Malvern Community Center (CADC Malvern Senior Activity Center) at 1800 W. Moline St. For more information, call 501-332-5374.

In Clark and Hot Spring Counties, the food items to be distributed may include canned pork, boneless ham, peaches, canned peas, canned kidney beans, rotini pasta, orange juice and chicken leg quarters

Columbia County’s distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the Columbia County Fairgrounds at 101 Columbia 13 in Magnolia and in the McNeil Community at Hwy. 79 in McNeil.

Union County’s distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at the Old Brookshire Shopping Center  in the Old Sears Building at 1430 Northwest Avenue in El Dorado.

In Columbia and Union Counties, the food items to be distributed may include canned pork, pork patties, peaches, canned peas, canned kidney beans, rotini pasta, apple juice and chicken leg quarters.

All customers receiving commodities must present identification. To be eligible to receive USDA commodities, income guidelines must be met. The income guidelines for this program are based on 130% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Based on these guidelines, a one person household must make less than $14,521 a year to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $5,148.
