Malvern, Ark. - Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) Hot Spring County Single Parent Scholarship Fund (SPSF) program will hold an Inside Sale, Saturday June 15, from 8 am until Noon at the Arkansas Workforce Center Cafeteria, 1735 E. Sullenberger in Malvern. The general public is invited.
The free event will feature lots of children, women and men's clothing, shoes, purses and household items and much more. Parking and entrance is at the back of the building. All proceeds from the event benefit the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Hot Spring County.
The SPSF program provides scholarships to low-income single parents who are pursuing a college education. Funds are used to offset financial situations that may keep a single parent from achieving their educational goals. Full time students may receive $500 per semester; part-time students may receive $250 per semester.
The program is currently accepting applications. Interested applicants may contact Brinda Speer 501-337-8401, or apply at the CADC Family Development Office in the Arkansas Workforce Center of Malvern, 1735 East Sullenberger during regular business hours. All applications are due 4:30 p.m. July 1, 2013.
